2011 Grenada Missions Outreach - The Results.

"Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying,“Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” He said, "Go."Isaiah 6:1
Listen to me, you islands! Hear this, you distant nations...
He said to me, “You are my servant, Israel, in whom I will display my splendor." Isaiah 49:1, 3

I love going to this nation.
Not because of its location…it’s the southern most Caribbean island. (as opposed to Granada…a city in Spain.) And not because it has grown familiar to me, having taken 6 teams there now over the last 7 years. But simply because of the destiny and potential in this nation that I can see.

This year’s missions outreach was a group effort from a purposefully small but very capable team. We conducted 4 first-aid clinics, put together by our resident nurse, Rebekah Hill who did a great job! These were a great success and each one was followed by an outreach service. This year we saw more responses in these services to receive Jesus than ever before!

My brother Gabe and his wife Ashley, (Ashley who at 6 months pregnant amazingly kept up the pace the whole trip!) put together and led a 3-day morning Vacation Bible School along with their friends Tim and Danielle Conway who were a great asset in so many ways! Coming along with Gabe and Ashley was their son Jack! This was Jack’s first missions trip and at 14months old he did fantastic and was a huge hit with the Grenadians!

Sunday morning we ministered at our host church in Pearls, Grenada. The small community of Pearls is home to the airstrip that was used by the United States military in 1983 to liberate Grenada from a military coup. The strong sense of purpose I feel each time I see that airstrip never grows dull. I can't help but think about those that were sent on a mission to liberate a nation years ago and here we are on that very same ground, sent on a mission to do the same thing, only this liberation brings eternal freedom and on every level! That Sunday morning I felt compelled to preach a message from Isaiah… “Arise O Zion and put on your strength!”

I have been working with missionaries, Charlie & Sally Carpenter and their ministry team for 7 yrs now. They have been ministering in Grenada since 1987. A reminder that one persons obedience effects a whole lot more than just one lifeIt has been my honor to be in relationship with and work along side The Carpenters.

I would like to deeply thank the churches, ministries, families and individuals that stepped up to partner with us. On behalf of all the people who were transformed and changed… thank you so very much! We have prayed multiplied harvest back to you on the financial seed that you have sown. To each of you who prayed for us we thank you. The grace for each day was so evident and again we pray a multiplied harvest back to you!

Knowing that there is more that God has called me to do in other nations, I am anticipating those “next steps” that God has begun to stir in me. I look forward to sharing some of those with you soon.

For His Kingdom,

Jen Tringale
